As someone already explained Verizon & Sprint run on the CDMA network, and that At&t, T-mobile, and Metro Pcs use a seperate network called GSM (which use SIM cards) these phones when unlocked will accept your ATT sim card..

It sounds like you have an ATT sim card but want a new phone, maybe one that is exclusive to Verizon, or maybe you dont want to re-sign a 2 year agreement with ATT, I don’t know.

Personally I work for a Major wireless carrier (I cant say who, cause theyre phones arent unlocked, so I dont use them….shhh!) I deal with this stuff everyday and Firstly no matter what All the Cell Phone Providers are scam artists and rip people off, do everything you can to seperate yourself from buying as little as possible through the carrier itself: phones, accesories, new devices etc.

But if you need a new phone and you have ATT (or Tmobile or MetroPCS) you can get unlocked phones and just pop your sim card right in and turn it on and it is eady to go.

I have ATT and I always get my phones unlocked, because I am able to have much wider of selection and I never get tied down having to sign a new contract or paying !)x more for a phone than it"s really worth without a contract

The past few times I bought new phones was from this place, http://www.cellphonealliance.org, they have some very unique phones you cannot find in stores, as well as the regulars like Iphones, PPC etc; and they are all unlocked for theGSM networks I named above. This site is good, I had to return one once and it happened with no problems.

But the reason I like them the most is because of how unique and exotic ther selection is, seriously they have phones, you would have never thought existed before, you need to see for yourself….Now the only problem is going to be which one to pick , with all the choices.

As far as I know http://www.Cellphonealliance.org is one of the only certified public re-sellers part of the open handset alliance, so I would just stick with them as they are reputible, there are a lot of fakes out there – be careful
